TMS Solution Architect" refers to a solution architect specializing in the "Blue Yonder Transportation Management System (TMS)" software, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing transportation solutions for clients by leveraging the BY TMS platform, understanding business needs, and translating them into technical specifications within the system to achieve efficient logistics operations; essentially bridging the gap between business requirements and the BY TMS functionalities.

Key responsibilities of a BY TMS Solution Architect:

Requirements Gathering:

Analyzing client business needs, operational processes, and pain points to identify areas where BY TMS can add value.

Solution Design:

Creating detailed system architecture, including workflows, data mapping, integrations with other systems, and configuration specifications within BY TMS to meet the client's requirements.

Implementation Planning:

Defining project scope, timelines, and resource allocation for successful implementation of the BY TMS solution.

System Configuration:

Performing hands-on configuration of the BY TMS system including carrier management, routing optimization, shipment planning, and reporting features.

Integration Development:

Designing and developing interfaces to integrate BY TMS with other enterprise systems like ERP, WMS, and CRM.

User Training:

Providing training and support to end users on the functionalities and best practices of BY TMS.

Project Management:

Leading and managing the implementation project, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.

Customer Support:

Troubleshooting issues, providing ongoing support, and addressing post-implementation concerns

Required Skills and Experience:

• Deep understanding of transportation logistics, supply chain operations, and industry best practices

• Proven expertise in the Blue Yonder TMS platform, including its functionalities, configuration options, and technical architecture

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex business challenges

• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to stakeholders

• Experience with system integration and data mapping techniques

• Project management skills to lead implementation projects from design to deployment

• Programming knowledge (e.g., SQL) can be beneficial depending on the specific role
