The Part-time Court Security Officer ensures the safety and security of the courthouse, courtrooms, and jury trials. This role includes providing security, assisting with inmate/detainee management, and performing various administrative duties as required by the Sheriff or designated authority.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Provide security in the courthouse and during jury trials.Assist with the placement of inmates/detainees in restraints as necessary.Adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to the role.Support full-time court security staff in maintaining court security operations.Serve as a jury attendant, following established post orders.Complete reports and documentation as required.Perform additional duties as assigned or deemed necessary by the Sheriff.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Must have a dependable work history and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.U.S. Citizenship required.Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
