This position is responsible for performing professional services related to Adult Mental Health and Case Management. Determines the appropriate actions, decisions, or processes to use due to their professional knowledge and experience.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Adult Mental Health Case Management: providing support, services and plan development for adults with serious and persistent mental illness. This may involve frequent contacts with consumers and providers helping them to develop their supports so as to work toward recovery. Person must be skilled with the ability to identify and assess a wide range of consumer needs.Civil Commitment responsibilities: processing the statements in support of commitment by meeting consumer, families, supports, etc., screening and filing court petitions, attending and testifying in court hearings, reports and case management and monitoring of the commitment cases.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Knowledge, skills and abilities include: -Strong and effective communication, decision making and organizational skills -Ability to problem solve -Ability to identify risks and made decisions as to how to reduce risks -Knowledge of State Statute requirements as it relates to providing case management.-Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment -Ability to seek directions and accept direction as needed. -Ability to identify and assess a wide range of consumer needs. -Knowledge of community resources as it relates to mental health needs.
