KANE COUNTY JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Office Manager
PAY GRADE:$18-$20
FLSA:Regular Part-Time
BARGAINING UNIT:N/A
DEPT:Kane County Auditor’s Office
JOB SUMMARY:
This is a regular part-time hourly position. The typical schedule is five days per week (Monday through Friday), approximately five hours per day (9:00 AM through 2:00 PM). The schedule will be subject to change.
This position performs certain administrative duties and other assignments under the supervision of the County Auditor, Deputy Auditor, and Staff Auditor. The nature of this position may require contact with all levels of County employees and officials, as well as contact with outside vendors, external auditors, and other agencies and representatives related to County business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Prepare invoices and contract documents for permanent record retention
· Prepare expense vouchers and review reimbursements for proper authorizations and compliance with County financial policy
· Maintaining the County Auditor’s financial transparency platform
· Updating the County Auditor’s Website
· Onboarding new employees
· Back up for accounts payable review and payroll processing to ensure proper documentation, authorization, and accuracy
· Perform other tasks at the direction of the County Auditor, Deputy Auditor and/or Staff Auditor to ensure that the Office runs efficiently
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· The successful candidate must be a high school graduate.
· The successful candidate must possess excellent analytical skills, the ability to effectively communicate through written reports, and be able to demonstrate core competency with Microsoft Office products.
· The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented team player with outstanding communication skills.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Kane County Auditor or their designee
Directs Work of: Staff Auditor and Administrative Officer

WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Normal office equipment such as a desktop and/or laptop computer, peripherals such as a printer, telephone, copier, calculator, etc.
