Job Summary:
Assist in creating a fun, engaging game day show by leading on-field promotions, contests, and pre/post game activities as directed by the promotional staff. Participate in Street Team, marketing events on non game days by interacting with fans and working to increase interest and excitement about the Cougars. Must be willing to work these events on non-game days, evenings, and weekends. Energetic individuals willing to participate fully in our theme nights, promotions, and antics are wanted!
Key Responsibilities
Manage and interact with fans who come onto the field for National Anthem, first pitches, contests, run the bases, and other promotions. Fully and energetically participate in non-game day promotional events as well as manage events on behalf of the Cougars with no direct supervision.

Attendance Requirements
Hours will vary but will include evenings, weekends, holidays, game days, and non-game days. Must be able to participate in half of the theme nights and attend a minimum of 5 non-game day events.
Work Environment
Work will be focused on game days and at marketing events. Our work environment is very physical, fast paced and at times very stressful. Cougar Crew works mostly outside in the stadium and in the elements. The team typically plays rain or shine, cold or warm.
Physical Demands
Long periods of time on your feet, averaging 2,000 steps a game. Have the ability to move up to 35 pounds. Ability and willingness to participate in tarp pulls on game days. Physically be able to access all areas of the ballpark quickly and safely. Ability and willingness to dance, interact with fans, and participate in set-up and break-down of on-field events. Ability and willingness to drive personal vehicle to promotional events on non-game days.
Essential Functions/Stadium Operations
- Prepare stadium for event as instructed
- Follow scripted events/promotions
- Communicate with other departments and employees to ensure world-class game day show, great Guest Courtesy, and the safety of all individuals
- Exude energy and excitement at all work functions to engage fans
- Commitment, timeliness, and positivity are required
- Willingness to dress in costume, dance, contribute creatively to events, and assist with assigned projects
- Reliability and dedication, excellent communication skills
- Willingness to dress in the mascot suit when needed at any given moment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Professional: Excellent customer service skills and professionalism when interacting with others. Knowing when to create a fun experience and have fun but also to maintain professionalism and accomplish goals.
Personal: Project a positive image to internal (employees) and external (guest, vendors) customers. Communicate effectively and professionally at all times. Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time, clean and neat at all times, team builder, and a team player.
