Job Description
The Lead Geologist / Hydrogeologist at Kane Environmental includes the following responsibilities:
- Provide senior level technical oversight for existing Kane Environmental projects and project managers.
- Mentoring project and junior staff in their technical and client relationships, as they will rely on your expertise and input on their projects.
- Working with all other Kane Environmental employees in a professional manner.
- Provide professional opinions and guidance in reviewing technical staff reports.
- Provide expertise in environmental technical issues for soil, soil vapor, groundwater, sediments and indoor air with your experience and knowledge of current state and federal regulations.
- Perform and manage Phase II Assessments and Vapor Intrusion Assessments.
- Perform and manage Soil and Groundwater Remediation projects.
- Manage environmental construction oversight projects.
- Project management of all your projects within budget and schedule, including using technical staff for field work, report writing, and delivery to client.
Business development activities for Due Diligence/Site Investigation/Remediation projects focused on the following areas:
- Participate in business development for Phase II ESA, remediation, and other Kane Environmental services
- Actively networking with your existing and new potential clients, working with Kane Environmental marketing staff in your marketing/networking activities
- Writing and reviewing technical proposals for your clients and assisting other staff in writing proposals
- Maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction with Kane Environmental clients
Work Environment
This full-time position includes a flexible work schedule after the 90 day probationary period, and includes remote working locations. You can adjust your work schedule to fit your lifestyle within Monday to Friday 6am to 6pm. You are expected to work a minimum of 8-hours per day/40 hours a week.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected, but likely not to exceed 2% annually.

Compensation
Competitive salary is commensurate with experience. This is a salaried position. We are offering a base salary range of $100,000 - $115,000 (depending on education and experience). A full compensation package, including salary and benefits will be provided after the initial interview.
