Assistant Controller – Construction Industry Location: Northwest Philadelphia Area

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
· Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
· Support the month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
Core Accounting Functions
· Oversee A/P and A/R activities.
· Ensure accuracy in timecard entry, data reconciliation, and payroll reporting.
Budgeting & Forecasting
· Help develop annual budgets and monitor actual vs. projected expenses.
· Provide meaningful financial insights and variance analysis to guide business decisions.
Compliance & Audit Support
· Uphold strong internal controls and regulatory compliance standards.
· Prepare audit schedules and support external audit processes.
Systems & Reporting
· Maintain and manage financial databases (experience with SAGE 300 a plus).
· Generate customized reports and dashboards for executive leadership.
Administrative & Strategic Support
· Work closely with the Controller on special projects and initiatives.
· Provide administrative and scheduling support as needed.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
· 3–10 years of progressive accounting experience (construction industry experience required).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAGE 300 or similar ERP experience is a plus.
· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
