Manufacturing Production Shift Supervisor

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR A MANUFACTURING PRODUCTION SHIFT SUPERVISOR/LEAD

PAPER PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

The Shift Supervisor will provide technical expertise and leadership to the paper production teams. Ensuring safe and efficient operations and achieving production targets.

Responsibilities:

· Promote Safety by enforcing mill regulations and setting a strong example.

· Maintain high product quality standards that consistently surpass customer expectations.

· Create process improvement changes and new procedures to boost quality and profitability.

· Oversee hourly crews during shifts, handling task assignments, training, and regulatory compliance.

· Manage daily discussions on productivity, quality, safety, personnel, and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

· Inspire employees towards meeting production and cost objectives.

· Guide hourly employees to realize their full potential through effective development strategies.

· Initiate training programs to build a skilled and motivated workforce.

· Implement and manage housekeeping programs to keep the mill professional and organized.

· Consistently enforce mill policies and the Labor Agreement, promoting positive labor relations.

Job Requirements:

· Extensive experience in all papermaking processes with the ability to adjust techniques to meet schedules and resolve issues.

· Proficiency in operating machines, including adjusting parameters like speed, stock, and water systems to impact production.
