We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations by ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with established accounting principles. Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records through double entry bookkeeping.
- Process accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
- Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of petty cash
- Utilize accounting software, such as Quickbooks, Excel, Outlook for data entry and reporting.
- Collaborate with members to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Filing & Scanning
- Accounts Payable weekly check runs
- Bank Deposits
- Understanding of inventory
Skills
- Proficiency in double entry bookkeeping and strong math skills.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable processes .
- Experience as a clerk or in a similar accounting role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
