Kane's Furniture, Florida's leader in Furniture Retail is seeking a talented General Manager.
Responsible for all sales/design operations and staffing. Ensures that personnel are adequately trained, efficient and effective. Develops and executes sales plans and goals designed to increase sales and profits and to minimize expenses. Responsible for the growth and profitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Set goals and develops action plans on how to achieve those goals as per the company directive. Coaches and leads the team to achieve or exceed goals; holds staff accountable
Recruits and interviews all candidates for the location; signs off on all open requisitions for hire
Ensure that employee documentation is current, e.g. coaching forms, COS forms and evaluations are completed on time
Work with the Regional Manager and HR Business Partner on correct staffing numbers and hire to the Plan; stay staffed to targeted number
Continually assess training needs of the staff and utilize available resources to provide the knowledge needed to effectively perform the duties of their jobs

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: Prefer college degree
Required Knowledge: Familiarity with sales and merchandising standards, policies and procedures, and competitive position. Knowledge of the industry.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of five years of experience in Retail Management
