Description
Job Summary:
Ensures all Kaney and Kaney Customer quality requirements are met or exceeded for products produced. This includes managing customer returns, resolving inspection issues, performing product release, supporting the gauge calibration program, and performing inspections.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage customer return process from receiving to return to customer.
- Resolve inspection and gauging issues in manufacturing and assembly.
- Develop First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, perform FAI inspections, and obtain customer FAI approval when needed.
- Attain Designated Quality Representative (DQR) status with various customers to perform product release.
- Support calibration program.
- Gather and report Kaney performance from customer portal data and other sources.
- Participate in the nonconformance and corrective action processes.
- Work with engineering, production, and others as necessary to resolve quality issues.
- Support the organization by training individuals or groups.
- Perform / assist in Internal Auditing and other auditing processes.
- Support continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other QA related activities as assigned by the Quality Director.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in a Quality or Engineering related field or 3-5 years of experience in aerospace machining and/or assembly required, or equivalent combination of both.
Minimum Competencies:
- Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
- Ability to perform dimensional inspections using wide variety of inspection equipment (simple hand-tools to CMM).
- Must be able to use applied knowledge of root cause and other problem-solving methods.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong written and verbal communications skills, excellent phone, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AS9100 certification and documentation is a plus.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification a plus.
Preferred Competencies:
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to communicate effectively with other personnel.
Operational Details / Work Environment
- This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and bend or stand as necessary.

Salary : $34,000 - $60,000
