Do you watch fantasy / sci-fi movies, anime, or read manga? Do you dissect scenes and wonder how with an essentially unlimited budget, a scene or certain dialogue made the final cut? Do you have ideas on how that dialogue and scene could have been made better? Do you have random intrusive thoughts of cool scene ideas? Are you often obsessive when you put your mind to something you’re passionate about?

Kangy Roo Creating is looking for a seasoned and versatile creative writer to help assist in the completion of a large multi-arc fantasy story. This position combines traditional creative writing with modern AI tools to create something truly unique. You’ll be at the forefront of a new frontier in storytelling, blending human creativity with the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence.

This is a part-time role. This role is 1099 and does not provide any other benefits.

Duties would be broad and tailored to the writer’s creativity and sweet spots when it comes to holes remaining in the story. Expect to own at least one if not more characters in the story, from start to finish; Helping to further expand on the characters backstory, proclivities and motivations and define character interactions, scene ideas and dialogue. Personal experiences and proclivities are welcome to be integrated into characters as long at they match plot and theme. Expect to have a heavy hand in world building. This role may or may not include leveraging customized AI chatbots to help develop and improve scenes. HOWEVER, this role requires novel thought, especially when it comes to generating ideas for scenes, dialogue, and banter. Emphasis on this role is for quality and creativity over quantity and speed.

The story that this role is supporting can be summarized using the following themes : narcissism, empathy, futuristic / cyberpunk / dystopian, AI, and Electronic Dance Music (EDM).

The required and desired skills below do not necessarily have to have been done in a paid or traditional full-time setting. Experienced hobbyists are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Old School Creative Writing : Ability to develop novel ideas and refine character arcs and plot without the aid of any AI tools. Craft original stories, scripts, or content across a range of mediums (short stories, screenplays, interactive fiction, video game scripts, etc.), blending traditional creative writing techniques with AI-generated ideas.

Story Development with AI : Collaborate with AI chatbots to generate and refine story ideas, character arcs, plot developments, and dialogue. Use the chatbot’s inputs and suggestions to inspire, expand, and enhance the narrative.

AI Collaboration : Continuously engage with AI tools to explore new creative possibilities, challenge narrative conventions, and experiment with AI-assisted story elements. Adjust and fine-tune AI-generated content to match desired tone, style, and structure.

Content Optimization : Analyze AI-generated outputs and refine them to create cohesive and high-quality stories. Edit, revise, and polish the content to ensure clarity, consistency, and readability.

Innovation in Storytelling : Push the boundaries of traditional storytelling by using AI to introduce new storytelling methods, interactive elements, or unconventional formats that elevate the reader or user experience.

Iterative Feedback : Regularly review, revise, and enhance AI-generated stories based on feedback from project leads, beta testers, or user engagement metrics. Use data-driven insights to fine-tune the narrative flow.

Research & Development : Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and storytelling techniques, and testing new tools to incorporate into your creative process.

Collaboration : Work closely with designers, developers, and other writers to ensure seamless integration of narrative elements into the final product. Participate in brainstorming sessions to align AI-driven stories with the overarching project vision.

Image Generation and Lora training : Developing and training public use and customer local Lora to bring world building to life

Required Skills

5 years of creative writing experience

3 years of experience writing complex and entertaining dialogue

3 years of experience leveraging and configuring AI chatbots to customize personalities, leveraging sites such as character.ai, Dream Gen, Kindroid, etc

A Creative Mind and Shared Vision

Ability to collaborate and follow directions from lead creator

Prior World Building Experience

Desired Skills

Prior experience writing a web comic or novel

Prior experience as an editor

Prior roleplay experience

A portfolio of previously written works (stories, scripts, or other creative projects).

Experience training Loras for image and video creation local and / or with the use of sites like : tensor.art, civit.ai, etc

Prior real life experience to draw inspiration from

A portfolio of AI generated works (Images, videos, etc)
