Purpose of the Position:

The CNC Saw Drill Operator is responsible for cutting, drilling, and preparing metal components to exact specifications, supporting the production of equipment used in large-scale laundry operations. This role involves working with advanced machinery, including the Ficep drill, to produce precise, high-quality components that are integral to our innovative laundry systems. This position is critical to maintaining the high standards of precision and quality that Kannegiesser ETECH is known for worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC Drill and Saws: Utilize the CNC drill and other saws to cut and drill materials to exact specifications, ensuring precision and consistency.
• Interpret Technical Documents: Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work orders to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect and Prepare Materials: Verify material dimensions and quality before and after processing to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to ensure consistent performance and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with the Team: Partner with welders, fabricators, and supervisors to resolve issues and meet production deadlines.
• Ensure Workplace Safety: Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean and hazard-free workstation.
• Documentation: Accurately record production data, including material usage, time tracking, and quality control checks. Keep standard operation process materials up-to-date as well as any other relevant department materials.

Academic & Trade Qualifications (required & preferred):

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Forklift and Scissor Lift certification preferred but not required.

Work Experience & Skills (required & preferred):

• 3-5 years of experience in a CNC saw or drill position for a mid-scale manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience working with structural steel shapes, including the ability to measure and identify various materials such as round, square, and rectangular tubes, angles, flat bars, round bars, I-beams, and C-channels
• Competence in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and basic geometry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and solve problems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing precise, high-quality work.
• Basic knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong ability to communicate positively and effectively with coworkers.

Machinery & Technology Experience & Skills:

• Proficiency with CNC Band Saw and CNC beam drill line required. Familiarity with Marvel CNC Bandsaw 2150A-PC2S, DoAll C-4100 NC, and Ficep Excalibur 1201EX CNC beam drill line or equivalent preferred.
• Skilled in using measuring tape and calipers accurately.
• Overhead crane experience preferred but not required.
• Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, raise, lower, push or carry up to 50 lbs. from ground to waist, waist to overhead and from one surface to another at mid level.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods.
• Ability to bend, crouch, kneel or crawl often in small or cramped spaces.
• Ability to work on equipment that is over individuals head and shoulders/at or below the shoulders while standing/sitting.
• Ability to walk/navigate/stand on both even and uneven surfaces.
• Physical dexterity to manipulate small parts including ability to grasp and pinch small objects.
• Ability to enter text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-Key.
• Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (that is, working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.
• Clarity of depth perception both less than 20 inches and more than 20 inches.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
• The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech both in person, by telephone or other technology.
