In this hybrid role, you’ll work both front of house (serving and interacting with campers) and back of house (meal prep and kitchen operations) to create a welcoming and delicious dining experience for campers. The Kansas 4-H Foundation is the 501(c)(3) fundraising arm for Kansas 4-H, the state’s largest positive youth development program, as well as Rock Springs Ranch, the state 4-H camp and conference center. The Foundation works with businesses, organizations, individuals and families who share a common desire to support a statewide effort of growing future leaders. Rock Springs Ranch is a 735-acre property located in the heart of the flint hills and is accredited by the American Camp Association.

Key Responsibilities
Front of House:
- Create a Positive Dining Experience: Set up the dining area, keep it clean and inviting, and ensure smooth meal service.
- Engage with Campers: Serve meals with a friendly attitude and assist campers with dietary needs or questions.
- Maintain Efficiency: Monitor buffet lines to restock food and beverages as needed, ensuring no one goes hungry.
- Prep and Cook Meals: Assist in preparing delicious, nutritious, and allergen-conscious meals (nut-free, vegetarian, and gluten-free options).
- Support Kitchen Operations: Help with ingredient prep, dishwashing, and maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards.
- Collaborate as a Team: Work with chefs and other staff to ensure meals are on time and meet quality standards.
