Job Summary:
- Oversees and assigns work to shop mechanics.
- Handles complex and major repairs on heavy machinery such as pavers, milling machines, rollers, skid steers, dump trucks and company vehicles.
- Mentor all mechanics on correct methods for repairs.
- Documents and maintains records of all maintenance performed on equipment
- High level of Leadership abilities and continued leadership growth
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Maintain and uphold all Safety procedures and protocols set forth by the company
- Keep up to date on your internal training and external training certifications
- Maintain good communication with Superintendents and Forman on equipment repairs
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to be trained and train others.
- Moderate computer skills
- Perform repairs at job sites as the needs arise.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Skilled and proficient with all small engine repairs
- Skilled and proficient at large tractor truck diesels, including, CAT and CUMMINS engines, Large Diesel Peterbilt and MACK engines.
- Skilled with Transmissions, exhaust systems, fuel systems, drivelines, differentials, hubs, and all other components of Kansas Asphalts equipment
- Advanced skills with Hydraulic systems and hydraulic schematics
