What You Will Do:
As a Lead Installation Technician (Level II), you will install AV systems, manage on-site work, and lead small to mid-level projects. This role requires 2 years of AV installation experience with leadership in project execution.
Installation & Technical Expertise
- Install AV systems: cabling, terminations, rack assembly, and mounting (speakers, displays, projectors, cameras).
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues efficiently.
- Follow engineering drawings and schematics.
- Keep job sites clean & organized and ensure all equipment functions before project closeout.
Project Leadership & Communication
- Lead up to three Level I Technicians and oversee all aspects of the onsite installation.
- Provide daily updates to project management.
- Train clients on non-controlled room AV systems.
- Coordinate with contractors and other trades.
Administrative & Compliance
- Document project progress and complete safety reports.
- Attend job meetings and follow company policies.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 years of AV installation experience with project leadership.
- Ability to lead teams & work independently.
- Strong mechanical skills & proficiency with hand tools.
- Experience with structured cabling, CAD elevations, & schematics.
- Basic computer skills & mobile app proficiency.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (local, regional, out-of-state).
- CTS & OSHA 10 Certification (or ability to obtain in 90 days).
- Experience with Crestron, Extron, DSP, and system configuration. (preferred)
- Completed AVIXA Essentials of AV courses. (preferred)
