Position Description :
The Volunteer Coordinator / NorthCare Hospice House reports directly to the Director of Volunteer Services, and receives administrative oversight from the Director of Inpatient Services and / or the Inpatient Manager. Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking a highly motivated and energetic full time Volunteer Coordinator. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all volunteer program activities at NorthCare Hospice House, including ongoing and episodic volunteers. Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer literacy and organization, essential. Position requires flexibility, creativity and the ability to develop programs that maximize the use of volunteers and support the daily operations of the NorthCare Hospice House. The ideal candidate will join a team of professional, empathetic and good humored people and must display a passion for supporting individuals and families coping with serious illness, death and grief.
