Location: Primarily Main Campus, but any location assigned by the appropriate administrator.
SUMMARY
To create and maintain record of financial data and transactions that can be summarized for various uses. Along with processing payments via various tenders and other related work as required.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Collect tuition and fees and balance collections to receipts
- Monitor student accounts for billing adjustments and overdue charges for collection processing
- Investigate and respond to student, administration, employee, and vendor inquiries
- Assist with answering the telephone and providing customer service
- Process payments for dual/concurrent enrollment high school students
- Data Entry of invoices and requests for payments
- Balance cash bags related to TEC agency sales and Bookstore sales
- Perform other duties related to the Business Office as assigned by the Business Office Manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Detail oriented

- Knowledge of financial record keeping practices
- Must perform tasks timely and accurately
- Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to pertinent regulations
- Ability to independently solve problems
- Work well in a high-volume office with many interruptions throughout the day
- Must demonstrate a commitment to and ability to work with a diverse student, staff, and outside vendor population
- Ability to multitask and shift priorities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to use 10-key calculator
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma/ GED equivalent and Five (5) years relevant experience OR
- Associate or higher degree and Two (2) years of relevant experience
- Ability to perform various accounting duties and use computerized accounting software including Microsoft Office
- Ability to operate 10-key with efficiency and speed as well as computer skills
- Account’s payables, account receivables, general accounting/bookkeeping, cash handling experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience reconciling and monitoring budgets
- Experience with Ellucian
WORKING CONDITIONS
In performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, hear, walk, and sit. Occasionally, the employee may need to push or lift items. WORK SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 6:00PM. Must be able to work a variable schedule/hour to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours.
