Job Summary:
This position serves as an Information Technology User Support Technician who helps coordinate the agency’s overall information technology system. This includes end user support activities, website maintenance activities and network maintenance activities. The User Support Role is granted access to critical infrastructure systems, responsible for computer software updates.
Responsibilities:
Serves as User Support Technician.
Troubleshoots software errors, acts as the technical liaison between system users and software developers or providers.
Determines the cause of software errors; provides guidance to users on operations of the software; determines the best method for correcting errors, either using vendor technical assistance or date manipulation tools.
Maintains proprietary software (HAB), reporting problems to software vendor and coordinating resolution with vendor and housing authority staff.
Trains new staff on agency information systems and trains staff on implementation of new systems and software upgrade.
Maintain list of computer equipment and stock.
Experience:
- Prefer at least one year of experience
- Proficiency in computer hardware setup and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of DNS configurations and firewall management
- Familiarity with mobile device support
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in an office environment
