Join Kansas City Millwork as an Inside Sales Representative where you will assist new and current customers (i.e., home builders, general contractors, remodelers and commercial contractors) in their selection of windows, doors, and accessories and services offered by Kansas City Millwork Co. (KCM) and in doing so, provide an exceptional customer experience, support Outside Sales Representatives, and provide administrative support.

Convenient work hours – full-time work schedule is typically Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with some flexibility based upon installation schedules and job requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting windows, doors, accessories, and services offered by KCM in the showroom and over the phone. Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Outside Sales Representative.
- Provide reliable product information, pricing, and availability. Recommend alternatives and upsell products and services. Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure timely communication.
- Maintain customer communication for accurate order processing and delivery. Enter and process quotes, sales orders, and credit memos in Agility.
- Collaborate with Outside Sales, Operations, and other departments on order status and deliveries. Escalate concerns as needed.
- Provide support to an assigned Outside Sales Representative with quotes, sales orders, supplier returns and credit memos.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 years’ experience servicing accounts in an inbound and/or outbound call environment, retail, or a related sales/service position providing an exceptional customer experience.
- 2 years’ experience in the millwork wholesale distribution industry or transferal industry experience such as home improvement or building products (preferred).
- 2 years’ experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) – Agility (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to safety and professionalism (pre-employment drug test required).
