Assists senior analyst with implement and test state-of-the-art secure security systems, networks, and database solutions. Provide technical support. Execute requests and answer general how-to questions in a highly secure environment.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Implement, configure and manage web filtering solutions.
- Update filtering policies to reflect changes in organizational requirements or threat landscapes.
- Develop, implement and maintain firewall rules to ensure secure and compliant network traffic.
- Conduct regular firewall rule reviews to eliminate redundancies, simplify configurations and align with organizational security policies.
- Troubleshoot access issues or web filter configs and coordinate with users as needed.
- Assists in preparing and assuring the implementation of cyber security policies and procedures, conducts investigations of incidents involving cyber security issues.
- Assists in planning and coordinating the access controls to allow authorized personnel or visitor access to restricted electronic records, materials, or areas.
- Assists in planning, developing, coordinating, and presenting cyber security awareness training and education for cyber security operations, evaluates training program effectiveness, conducts job task analysis, security audits, and special studies.
- Assists in developing written documentation of Cyber Security, Telecommunications Security, and local procedures.
- Assists in coordinating with DOE to obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations and orders.
- Represents team in meetings with internal/external customer base.
- Recommends and/or implements policies and procedures in support of management objectives.
- Assists in developing and facilitating internal communication which may include processing and distribution of information through communications services.
- Bachelor’s degree related to Computer Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience appropriate for the assigned duties or two (2) years experience in lieu of bachelor degree.
- Minimum 0-2 years’ experience in a cyber security environment.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
We Value
- Advanced Degree and/or Cyber Security related certificates preferred.
- Experience with Networking and Security Tools: Wireshark, Gigamon, Splunk, Palo Alto.
- Experience with System Administration.
- Experience with Scripting Languages: Python, Splunk SPL, Bash and basic coding skills to automate security tasks.
- Certifications: CompTIA A , Network , Security , CCNA.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to utilize interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management and employees.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Knowledge of NIST special publications (FIPS 199, 200, 800-53, 800-37) and the certification and accreditation process.
