Summary
The Inventory Control Assistant II role is responsible for performing a variety of inventory control activities associated with Logistics and Inventory Control. These activities may include receiving, packaging, distribution & routing, inventory control, and shipping functions.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Processes incoming materials by verifying part numbers, quantities, and other relevant supplier documentation (packing slips, purchase order, dangerous goods declaration, etc.).
- Processes outbound shipments of material to customers or outside vendors, including packaging items to prevent damage during distribution.
- Delivers materials to correct work areas or internal customers using inbound documentation.
- Performs inventory picks, put-aways, and cycle counts.
- Performs system transactions to record all inventory movement types.
- Processes inbound and outbound dangerous goods in accordance with applicable air and ground regulations.
- Processes excess material.
- Works with and learns from subject matter experts along with direction from their direct supervisor.
- Operates material handling equipment and government vehicles. (requires a valid driver's license).
- Demonstrates basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Interacts with customers on a limited basis while relying on experienced team members to interact with internal and external customers.
- Provides limited informal leadership, relying on more experienced team members to provide daily direction within the team.
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
- 1 year of Inventory Control Experience.
- Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- United States Citizenship.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Possesses certification in or demonstrates awareness of requirements for Dangerous Goods Shipping per Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 49 and International Air Transport Association (IATA).
- Possesses certification in forklift operation.
- Demonstrates manufacturing /warehouse experience.
