Kansas City Orthopedic Institute is expanding our PRN staffing. We are seeking individuals who can fill in from time to time to help keep the hospital running smoothly. We are seeking additional individual in a variety of clerical positions.

PRN - Admissions Customer Service: Admissions Representatives can be assigned in one of the following areas; Rehab, MRI, Pain, Surgery, and Urgent Care. Opening and closing responsibilities. Responsibilities include greeting, registering, preparing admission paperwork and admitting patients. Use of whiteboard/dashboard/ER Express and or phone for notification of patient arrival/status.
PRN- Medical Records: Responsible for carrying out the accurate assembly, analysis, completion, printing, scanning, uploading, delivery, storing, and retrieval as applicable by service area for all Hospital medical records according to all Hospital policies and processes and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Account for all medical records according to the final schedules each day. Ensure that all deficiencies are completed by clinical staff in accordance with regulatory requirements and KCOI timelines. Keep track of all medical records stats and provide data as requested. Handle duties assigned with ROI. Handle preparation of peer review charts and charts for audits. Handle medical record calls. Opening and closing responsibilities. Clean binders. Check Fax-com and handle as applicable. Handle inquiries/deliveries. Keep inventory of Dept. supplies and provide notification of reorder.
PRN- Customer Service Specialist: Opening and closing responsibilities. Responsibilities include greeting and directing patients and visitors to designated areas. Run daily schedules. Use of whiteboard for arrival/status notification. Notify Pre-Assessment Dept. of patient arrivals for Pre-Assessment appointments. Keep track of family and friends waiting for surgery patients. Scan as applicable. Clean and empty binders. Answer and handle applicable phone calls and entering Financial Policies into secure website. Check “contact us” e-mails and enter onto Round Robin tracking. Obtain phone messages from individual voicemail and shared voicemail and handle appropriately. Handle inquiries/deliveries. Keep inventory of Dept. supplies and provide notification of reorder. Keep waiting room snacks stocked, coffee machine filled and clean, and waiting areas clean and straightened. Make overhead announcements as directed for example fire alarm. This position is considered essential personnel and must be here in inclement weather.
