Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance is the largest, independently owned orthopedic specialty practice in the Kansas City metro area. We have over 50 medical providers practicing out of six locations. Each team focuses on the importance of customer service, communication, and caring for patients.
We're seeking a professional and caring individual to join our patient-centered orthopedic practice. Our PCTs are an integral part of our team. Our PCTs assist the Physician and Physician Assistants. In this role you provide direct and indirect patient care, including escorting patients to exam rooms when needed, taking vitals and brief health history, providing treatments, and performing technical procedures such as suture/staple removal, bandage changes, casting, and splinting fabrication and removal.
As a PCT you will also take phone messages, schedule testing or MRI, CT, bone scans, EMG/NCS, Epidurals, Venous Doppler as needed, order Physical and Occupational Therapy per protocol, Assist X-ray technician as needed, Call patients post-operatively to check on their status, send in prescriptions and complete FMLA, disability and work comp forms.
This position is full-time, Mondays-Fridays.

Experience:
- 1 year of PCT or Certified Medical Assistant experience
- Experience working in an orthopedic practice setting
- Casting experience for ortho physicians a plus; we can train and certification can be gained.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current licensure appropriate to position
- Good communication skills
- Good computer skills
