The ideal candidate will inspire students, demonstrate expertise in diverse art mediums, and contribute to the school's arts program.
What You'll Be Doing: (Responsibilities)
Instructional Delivery and Curriculum Planning
Physical Demands: Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands and fingers, reach, bend, stoop, and lift at least ten pounds. Job requires the employee occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Visual ability requires mono and color vision, close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
Terms of Employment: Length of work year: 10-month school-year calendar; 8hrs/day, five days/week

What You'll Be Doing: (Responsibilities)
Instructional Delivery and Curriculum Planning
- Teach skills in various art forms to elementary students.
- Plan and implement a balanced art program, organizing daily class time effectively.
- Utilize diverse art materials and subjects appropriate for student ages and skill levels.
- Provide individual and small group instruction to adapt curriculum to student needs.
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior for a productive environment.
- Control the storage and use of art supplies.
- Select and requisition books and instructional aids, maintaining inventory records.
- Identify student needs and collaborate with professional staff to address health and academic concerns.
- Supervise students during out-of-class activities.
- Make provisions for availability to students and parents outside instructional hours.
- Participate in curriculum and other developmental programs.
- Participate in faculty committees and sponsor student activities.
- Maintain professional competency through district in-service education and self-selected growth activities.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Missouri Art Teaching Certification (K-12).
