What You'll Be Doing: (Responsibilities)
Workers’ Compensation & Incident Management
- Administer the district’s Workers’ Compensation program, including claims reporting, accident investigation, and prevention training.
- Interact with medical service and insurance providers to facilitate timely treatment and return-to-work processes for injured employees.
- Interpret and apply Missouri Workers’ Compensation laws to claims analysis and payment decisions.
- Develop and implement district-wide safety plans, including crisis management protocols and safety drills.
- Monitor and proactively address workplace risk factors impacting safety, preparedness, and loss prevention.
- Conduct job-related risk analyses and recommend strategies to reduce losses.
- Maintain adequate recordkeeping and utilize data to identify and reduce operational risks and liabilities.
- Present training seminars for district leadership and staff on safety procedures and risk management best practices.
- Recommend new and improved methods for controlling insurance losses related to workplace incidents.
- Administer employee reimbursements for theft and vandalism.
- Assist with other Employee Relations functions, including FMLA, ADA, and staff investigations to support compliance.
- Provide guidance to management on risk mitigation strategies and loss control improvements.
Bring Expertise And Vision
- Bachelor’s Degree in work safety, business management, labor relations, or a related field.
- Risk Management Certification (CRM), Certified School Risk Manager (CSRM), or at least five years of experience in Risk Management.
- Proficiency in office software, including word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and database management.
- Working knowledge of Missouri Workers’ Compensation laws.

- Strong analytical skills for forecasting and loss prevention initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, medical providers, and insurance representatives.
