Job Title: Usher Assistant Supervisor
Job Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for guests visiting Kauffman Stadium. This includes training and supervising ballpark Ushers, who are responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable experience for guests and safely and accurately showing fans to designated seating area.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe and guest-friendly environment and enforce company policies
Train and supervise Ushers
Responsible for department personnel paperwork including disciplinary and payroll
Responsible for scheduling employees and approving payroll using Dayforce, when needed
Listen to guests & help address any concerns they may have
Seek out opportunities to talk with guests & get to know season ticket members
Be “aggressively friendly” to all guests
Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
Two years of supervisory experience preferred
5 years Guest Service experience preferred
Experience with Dayforce Payroll System preferred, but not required
Available to work all home games, including holidays, weekends, and evenings
Able to work in high-pressure environment
Professional demeanor and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Must be team-oriented, extremely outgoing, and motivated
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must have availability on days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
Must be able to withstand hot and humid temperatures as well as frigid temperatures
Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
