Job Title: Trainee – Corporate Partnerships
Job Summary: To provide a student or recent student with the opportunity to learn about the sports industry at the Major League Baseball level. Candidate will gain valuable experience in the day-to-day operation of a Corporate Partnerships team. Candidate will learn how to help maximize sales opportunities and assist in the service, execution, and fulfillment of all partnership agreements.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Assist during Royals home games with partnership activation, hospitality and other duties as assigned
Coordinate season-long fulfillment projects such as enter-to-win contests
Attend homestand meetings and other departmental meetings as needed
Track and log Royals and partner branded content, social media and other digital promotions
Assist with on-site events such as youth clinics, hospitality events, etc.
Work with key year-long projects as determined by the Corporate Partnerships staff for real-world education. Project examples include: proofreading pitches and whitepapers, analysis of stadium signage and enhancement recommendations, analysis of Royals vendors and possible sponsors, etc.
Coordinate ticket requests internally with the ticket office and send tickets to clients
Other related duties as assigned
Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
Current college student or recent graduate with degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Marketing or equivalent experience
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem-solving, presentation skills
Ability to function in fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft computer applications, specifically in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Available to start by January 31 and work through the end of the baseball season
Available to work a flexible schedule including holidays, weekends, and evenings
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift items weighing as much as 15 pounds
Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday
Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

This role is a Part-Time, Non-Exempt opportunity that is not eligible for Company Benefits, 401K, and PTO. The schedule for this position is dependent on our team schedule and is subject to change.
