About The Role
Reports to: IT Strategic Data Architect
Location: Kansas City, MO (Hybrid - Applicant must be based in KC Metro area)
Status: Exempt, Full-time
Salary: Annual salary based on experience

Key Performance Indicators:
- Secure at least 85% of IT data and systems through proper establishment or updating of procedures, processes, and safeguards.
- Meet the expectations of 85% of Salesforce stakeholders by outlining projects that improve data tracking and reporting capabilities.
- Improve processes to provide optimal user experience across IT areas of focus with a satisfactory project completion rate of at least 90%.
- Contribute towards IT’s goal of providing cost-effective solutions that best serve the organization’s needs, without exceeding 100% of the approved budget.
Responsibilities:
Deliver Reliable Solutions (60%):
- Develop pipelines for data ingestion into an Azure Data Lake.
- Develop pipelines to build out dimensional models in a medallion architecture.
- Create PowerBI dashboards and visualizations for analytics and reporting.
- Create/maintain IT documents, data models, data flow diagrams, data lineage documents, data dictionary, process diagrams, and other related documentation to ensure best practices are followed.
- Provide timely and accurate project documentation and reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, progress, and achievements.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors as necessary for project support.
- Adhere to the project schedule by helping develop and maintain the project backlog during Agile projects.
- Document clear, unambiguous test plans that meet business needs.
- Conduct root cause analysis on identified issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Execute manual and automated testing, ensuring thorough coverage of functionality, performance, and security aspects.
- Provide IT support as needed.
Process Improvement & Documentation (30%):
- Learn new technology and techniques to support product and process innovation.
- Assist in analyzing Data Lake processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Continuously evaluate Azure integrations, processes, and practices, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Translate project requirements and processes into application usage and configuration.
- Analyze the impact of proposed solutions across the business and application landscape.
- Train the business/end user community when necessary.
- Collaborate with end-users across different teams in the organization to identify potential areas for enhancements in data consumption, and recommend improvements to IT Management.
- Work with the Manager to identify and implement changes in team processes for efficient task resolution.
- Document and model current processes, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Review and validate project documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Research, gather, and synthesize information to assess process gaps and recommend best practice solutions.
- Help facilitate training and support for users on the Data Lake platform.
Financial Acumen (10%):

Education & Experience:
Education & Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience).
Work Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience with Azure administration.
- Demonstrated 1-2 years’ experience with Data Factory and Synapse.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Familiar with Medallion Architecture and dimensional modeling.
- Implemented Data Lake and Lakehouse architecture.
- Experience with PowerBI (Dashboards/Visualizations).
- Demonstrated experience in identifying process inefficiencies and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
