Assisting with overseeing the day-to-day operation of all Zoo & Aquarium admissions, membership, and guest relations areas, including:
- Supervising the quality of customer service in Guest Relations, Memberships, and Admissions.
- Greeting and welcoming all guests, assuring that each guest is treated with fairness and respect.
- Assisting with all guests’ needs, including questions, inquiries, and Zoo & Aquarium directives.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for guest membership questions and concerns.
- Assisting the department managers with implementing membership sales programs designed to meet or exceed budgeted sales expectations.
- Coordinating with other departments, including but not limited to Education, Marketing, and Group Sales, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Assists with various staffing and training functions, including:
- Assisting department managers with creating and implementing employee training programs and team building activities.
- Ensuring all Zoo & Aquarium cash-handling policies are being properly followed by admissions staff.
- Maintaining working knowledge of the Zoo & Aquarium’s amenities.
- Modeling superior customer service for fellow team members and those of other departments.
Assists and coordinates with other Zoo and Guest Services departments with various tasks and public/private events, as needed.

- EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- EXPERIENCE:
- At least 1 year’s experience in a customer service related role required.
- Previous supervisory experience welcomed.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Experience with Galaxy or other ticketing software preferred.
- Experience with POS and cash register systems preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Can move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without assistance.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evening hours, in all weather extremes.
- Must pass a background and drug screening.
