The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has a Senior Administrative Specialist opening in Topeka. Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of underserved populations? The Kansas Statewide Farmworker Health Program (KSFHP) is seeking a Senior Administrative Specialist to support our efforts in improving access to healthcare for vulnerable farmworkers and their families.
This role requires strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to providing quality support. Bilingual Spanish/English candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Billing support- Data entry and review of accuracy in the electronic health record, Fhases. Provider licensure verification and provider phone calls to health providers to obtain information for incomplete vouchers. Comply with state purchasing procedures to obtain vendor reimbursement.
Administrative support - Provide support to the Kansas Statewide Farmworker Health Program and the Community Health Access Section at the discretion of the Section Director, including phone coverage, completion of conference registrations and make travel accommodations to support staff. Maintain electronic calendar, schedule meetings, take minutes and maintain file correspondence. Process a variety of documents within expected timeframes and in accordance with established procedures. Maintain file system of paper and electronic program files and records to comply with federal grant filing requirements.

Qualifications
- Education:
- High School, GED
- Licensing & Certification:
- Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Three years of experience in general office, clinical and administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
- Organization, communication, and note-taking skills.
- Proofreading, editing, attention to detail.
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
