Position Summary & Responsibilities: Amusement Ride Auditor (Safety Specialist)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented professional to join our Amusement Ride Services team in the Industrial Safety and Health division. This role involves conducting comprehensive amusement ride audits across the state, assist in the processing amusement ride permit applications, locating and assisting with unpermitted entities and issuing warning citations and notice of violations when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive amusement ride audits
• Prepare clear and concise written reports for amusement ride entities detailing audit findings
• Complete follow up visits to ensure that deficiencies identified in audit are addressed
• Assist in processing amusement ride permit applications
• Assist in locating unregistered amusement ride entities. Provide pertinent information to such entities
• Issue warning citation, notice of violation, or cease and desist order when entities fail to obtain ride permits
• Participate in appeal process, if necessary
• Assist in answering phone calls
• Assist in identifying speaking engagement opportunities to inform and educate regarding the Kansas Amusement Ride Act
• Assist in the investigation of amusement ride-related injuries
• Attend training sessions, seminars, and conferences to stay current on industry standards and industry best practices
• Work with amusement ride team to enforce all aspects the Kansas Amusement Ride Act
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Kansas drivers license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Salary : $45,000
