What You Will Do
Supervise employees in construction, maintenance, and operation of distribution and transmission systems for a geographic area or metro service facility.
Supervise employees in construction, maintenance, and operation of distribution and transmission systems and appurtenances including :
- Line extensions
- Transmission / distribution lines
- Purchasing and materials
- Corrosion control
- Leakage survey
Oversee and inspect installation and operation of pipeline equipment and facilities including :
Inspect, evaluate, and recommend whether to repair or replace pipe and appurtenances.
Schedule and conduct safety and training sessions for employees.
Provide information, consultation, and assistance to customers, contractors, inspectors, city / county / state officials, employees, and others relative to company activities, policies, and procedures.
Compile, prepare, and verify information including :
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need
Experience with and working knowledge of the construction, maintenance, appurtenances, and operation of pipeline systems related to natural gas distribution systems.
Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including accessing computers and related software.
Application of basic math and algebraic formulas.
Coordinate work projects for most effective use of personnel and equipment.
Experience and training related to :
Demonstrated ability to monitor operations and situations to ensure compliance with safety policies, operator qualifications and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to interact, advise, and communicate effectively.
Train, direct, and supervise; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
Compile and prepare reports, recommendations, and correspondence.
Read and interpret manuals, policies, procedures, permits, governmental regulations, engineering plans, maps, job specifications, reports, and correspondence.
Read and write fluently in English.
Applicable driver's license to travel to job sites throughout operating service area.
CDL eligible : must obtain CDL within 6 months (Kansas).
National Association of Corrosion Engineer (NACE) Certification (as specified by position).
CDL preferred (Oklahoma and Texas).
Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out-of-doors.
Able to assist crew members in performance of routine and emergency activities such as construction and maintenance; leakage detection and repair; and corrosion control.
Operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and exchange verbal and written information and instructions; conduct oral presentations.
Visual abilities to perform job responsibilities.
