Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Job Function: Works closely with a number of healthcare professionals ranging from surgeons and anesthesiologists to allied health staff in taking care of patient’s anesthesia requirements before, during, and after surgery.
Job Qualifications:
- Currently licensed CRNA
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse familiar with nursing performance standards as outlined in the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Certification in CPR.
- Knowledge and understanding of Kansas Consent Laws.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Division of Anesthesia Policies and Procedures and their application.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs physical assessments and participates in pre-operation preparation
- Prepares the patient for anesthesia, administers anesthesia, maintains the anesthesia during surgery, and oversees recovery from anesthesia after surgery.
- Modifies anesthesia for individual patients to ensure safety.
