What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance/Facilities Technician position at Kansas Housing Resources Corporation?
KHRC is looking for a part-time Maintenance & Facilities Technician to perform routine to complex repairs, installation, and preventative maintenance on equipment and building. Key responsibilities of this role:
- Perform preventative maintenance of equipment and building checks according to set schedules.
- Check equipment for proper operation, fluid levels, change filters, replace worn belts, change oil, and lubricate bearings.
- Correct problems and initiate repairs using necessary tools and parts.
- Inspect, repair, and/or replace routine plumbing and electrical tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as changing light bulbs, hanging artwork, moving furniture or assembling projects.
- Assists in removal of ice/snow from facility walkways and public access areas.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree, trade school certification, or relevant experience required. Minimum of three years' experience as a maintenance technician or minimum of five years of increasingly complex building maintenance experience with knowledge of the following trades; HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry, or an equivalent level of experience. A combination of education and experience may be accepted as determined relevant by KHRC.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
