Job Duties: This position is a CSO I assigned primarily to the Atchison Court Services Office. Supervise general assignment caseload or other specific caseload as directed by Chief CSO; keep documentation on all contacts and prepare case reports in both adult and juvenile cases; prepare presentence investigative reports in both adult and juvenile cases; prepare child custody investigation reports and reintegration plans as assigned; conduct urinalysis tests; complete administrative requirements including statistics and correspondence with the public; supervise collection of restitution and costs; comply with requirements of local policies and procedures manual; perform any additional duties as required by supervisor or the court.
Required Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in social services such as psychology, counseling, sociology and criminology or a closely related field.
Preferred qualifications: Experience in probation services, case management with certifications for LS/CMI, YLS, WRNA and EPICS are preferred. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license.
