Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary: Performs a variety of tasks cleaning a facility. Promotes “Green” cleaning and maintenance in day-to-day tasks and practices to advance healthier work environments.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Daily empties waste baskets, empties trash, cleans wash bowls, stools, urinals and scrubs floors for all restrooms. Sanitizes and check deodorants, paper towels, toilet tissue, soaps and replace as needed. Cleans walls and partitions in all restrooms.
- Daily empties waste baskets, vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops necessary areas. Spot clean walls, doors and glass. Sanitize touch points. Dust and Clean window ledges, venetian blinds, book cases, chairs and other furniture.
- Uses the appropriate machinery and chemicals to clean carpets, strips, wax and seal non-carpeted floors.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Assure that all cleaning supplies are secured and inventoried daily to provide safety for staff and juveniles. Attends training as required by KJCC policy.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Licensing & Certification: None
- Minimum Qualifications: General Education
- Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Must be able to complete and pass background check and drug screen approved by the Office of Personnel Services.
