District Manager
The District Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations in their region. They must be business-minded, own all aspects of restaurant standards, performance & training and contribute to a culture of restaurant excellence by modeling Kansas King Inc.’s mission, purpose, and values.
Job Summary: The District Manager is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader as they are responsible for all restaurant’s performance and results in their district of five (5) to ten (10) locations. The position leads, improves and sustains operating results that strengthen our mission, build sales, drives profitability, and improves the restaurant experience for our guests and team members. They will be skilled at providing timely, constructive, clear, and actionable feedback to recognize successes and improve performance. Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully, very bottom-line oriented and pushes self and others for results.
As a District Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Understanding all aspects of running day-to-day functions of a market restaurant operations team
- Expert understanding of the P&L with the ability to control costs and lead profit initiatives targeted at Labor, COGS and other expenses within their market and contribute to overall company performance.
- Understanding of how-to shepherd and allocate resources to make tactical investments that drive a sense of urgency to quickly improve results, strengthen their portfolio, achieve budgeted expectations and business metrics.
- Demonstrates strong time management skills for scheduled and unscheduled productive restaurant visits while also performing daily, weekly and monthly tasks such as: daily restaurant team calls, regional team calls, P&L Reviews and action planning to drive improvements.
- Ability to create and execute actionable development plans with General Management team based on job expectations and core competencies.
- Ability to hire, retain and develop top talent to build successful restaurant and General Management teams that are engaged and motivated to grow the business through our mission and values.
- Tracking sales daily, weekly and monthly to ensure priorities are set, communicated and executed to make sure we are performing to the best of our ability.
- Having a strong knowledge of all current and new restaurant technology platforms and able to communicate and train them.
- Practice clear and effective communication to all members of the team.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years relevant leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success in leading an operations organization for a high growth, customer focused and geographically diverse environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in maintaining and executing major programs in a restaurant environment.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Strong business acumen skills with familiarity of financial concepts and analysis
- Proven success in a “roll up your sleeves and make things happen” environment.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- High level of initiative and ability to multitask
- Ability to think quick, make sound decisions and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to travel to all restaurants within Kansas King Inc.’s portfolio as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
