Kansas Orthopaedic Center is seeking a Financial Services Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day financial aspects of our practice. The position is responsible for development, implementation, and management of maintaining the general ledger, financial reporting, payroll, purchasing, materials management, payables, cash management, and fixed assets for Kansas Orthopaedic Center and other related entities for internal control and external usage. The ideal candidate will have experience with the business of an independent medical practice, a good understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in financial reporting and analysis.
Position Duties include:
- General ledger maintenance and report preparation to summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position of the company; presenting financial information to leadership.
- Oversight of the processes of payroll processing, accounts payable, purchasing, company vehicle management, expense reports and credit applications.
- Working with outside accountants to provide information and prepare year end processes to meet required tax and fiscal reporting requirements.
- Ensuring all financial compliance responsibilities have been met.
- Supervision and oversight of employees in areas of responsibility.
- Promoting a cooperative team effort and maintain a productive working relationship with all providers and staff.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- 1 year of financial management experience in a medical setting or 3 years experience as bookkeeper
- Previous supervisory experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, Sage or other accounting software; strong knowledge of spreadsheet applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with strong decision making skills
- Strong management and organizational skills and effective communication techniques
