We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative for our Independent Insurance Agency in De Soto Kansas. As an integral part of our team, you will deliver exceptional service to our clients, focusing on Personal, Commercial, Farm, and Life insurance products. Our family agency represents several leading insurance carriers and has been in the business for over 40 years. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and a desire to grow within the industry. While prior experience is desirable, it is not required. We offer comprehensive training and support to help you obtain your insurance license and succeed in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service.
- Manage client inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage options, policy changes, transfers, claims, and billing clarifications.
- Coordinate daily workflow with internal staff and agents.
- Assist clients with policy-related questions, resolve issues, and recommend appropriate coverage.
- Utilize our agency management system, EzLynx, proficiently helpful.
- Aid the agents in the new/renewal marketing activities. (commissions possible)
- Oversee daily account management tasks such as processing payments, invoicing, certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, policy changes, and coverage comparisons.
- Maintain accurate client records in our agency database as well as filing as needed.
- Collaborate with insurance company underwriters to obtain timely and accurate quotes.
Qualifications: * Not a remote position
- Previous experience in customer service.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflict resolution skills.
- A driven professional who is self-motivated and eager to succeed
- An ability to function as a member of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confidence in presenting ideas.
- Experience in the insurance or related industry is preferred but not required.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills a must.
- Current insurance license or willingness to obtain Property & Casualty, and Life and Health licenses for future earning potential.
