Recovery Room Registered Nurse is responsible for the planning, executing, directing and evaluating indirect nursing care given to the surgical patient. The responsibility includes the preparation, and organization of the environment, equipment and supplies required to perform the clinical activities necessary to prepare patients for surgery and to recover patients after their surgery.
HOURSPart-time, 2-3 days per week, 9:00am – 7:00 pm with some late hours as needed. No weekends, holidays or call.
JOB FUNCTION:
Pre/Post RN is responsible for the planning, executing, directing, and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care given to the surgical patient. The responsibility includes the preparation, and organization of the environment, equipment and supplies required to perform the clinical activities necessary to prepare patients for surgery and then to recover patients after their surgery.
One-year previous hospital experience in a critical care environment, preferably in a surgery setting.
EDUCATIONMust be a graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing. Prefer Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Must maintain a current RN license with the State of Kansas. Current BLS, ALS and PALS certification required.
