The RETAIN WORKS Program and Employment Healthcare Coordinator position is a part of the RETAIN WORKS team of dedicated professionals who together support our customer’s recovery with stay at work or return to work strategies following an injury or illness. Being sick or injured is hard enough but when it keeps you from working your whole life is affected.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION - The RETAIN Grant Program and Employment Healthcare Coordinator is responsible for the grant specific operations and outcomes on program services assigned. The Program Coordinator are primarily responsible for getting work done through others with accountability to management for the quantity and quality of the work done and for ensuring efficient and economical work operations. This position also serves as a primary point of contact for employers, ensuring worksite accommodations, preparation for and/or understanding of medical restrictions and determining retraining needs, including perhaps On-the-Job training, for new duties. Reporting the customer’s progress, grant activities and outcomes, and documenting workplace activities will also be required of this position. This position requires skill in collaborative, innovative, motivational, case management strategies and must utilize the resources of the workforce development community and partner agencies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the workforce development system in Central and Western Kansas.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the application and intake process for RETAIN Grant employer program operations

  • Manage, coordinate, facilitate outreach activities
  • Coordinate with other internal staff and internal/external partners to deliver services
  • Evaluate the program operations and outcomes and make program recommendations
  • Conducting program activities
  • Assist administrative and operational leadership with data collection, file approvals, reporting and other program requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employers, ensuring worksite accommodations, preparation for and/or understanding of medical restrictions and determining retraining needs, of our customers including perhaps On-the-Job training, for new duties.
  • Expected to have knowledge of, and to employ quality management principles such as focus on customer expectations, continuous improvement, team building, coaching, and empowering employees.
  • Evaluate reviews of case management files to verify eligibility, case management activity documentation, eligibility of payments, and compliance with directives in order to provide feedback, training and continuous improvement directives to staff.
  • Network and establish relationships with grant partners including participating health care systems, community service providers, economic development and all workforce system partner agencies.
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Credentials Needed

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree or some related post-secondary education, but experience maybe

substituted.

  • Knowledge and understanding of healthcare and/or rehabilitation services.
  • Case Management, Recruitment and/or Human Resources experience.
  • Initiative- Takes initiative and provides creative ideas to improve processes.
  • Organization- Plans tasks and projects for completion in a timely and organized manner.
  • Dependability- Is punctual and maintains regular attendance.
  • The ability to create and manage a broad network of professional contacts
  • Experience in administering/coordinating workforce development services/programs or case management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Business Services—Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in use of virtual tools – Zoom, Team, HelloSign, DropBox, etc.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with management, co-workers, partners, and the general public.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
