Job Posting: Firefighter/Paramedic, FF/AEMT, FF/EMT-B – Full and Part time
The Kansasville Fire & Rescue Department (KFRD) is seeking highly motivated, professional Fire/EMS personnel to establish an eligibility list for the position of full-time and part-time FF/Paramedic, FF/AEMT, and FF/EMT-B.
We provide Paramedic level Emergency Medical Services, responding to approximately 1,000 calls for service annually. Our department provides Fire & EMS services to the Town of Dover and Town of Brighton Residents.
Essential Duties:
- Respond to calls for emergency services
- Provide BLS/ALS and first aid treatment in accordance with laws, protocols, and directions
- Complete reports documenting incident data, patient assessment, and treatment
- Operate radios and other communication equipment appropriately
- Perform general maintenance work of equipment, vehicles, apparatus, and facilities
- Assist with conducting Fire Inspections
- Maintain sanitation of apparatus and facilities
- Conduct Fire Inspections as needed
- Present Fire Prevention and Public Education activities to the public as needed
- Participate in monthly department general meetings, Fire, and EMS trainings
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum age 18 or older at time of hire
- Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
- High School or Equivalency diploma
- WI State or National Registry Paramedic, Advanced EMT or EMT-Basic
- State of Wisconsin Firefighter 1 certification required within 6 months of hire
Starting Salary Range:
Depending on certifications and experience
Paramedic: $23 - $26 per hour
Advanced EMT: $20 – $23 per hour
EMT – Basic: $18 - $20 per hour
Candidates must successfully pass oral interview, fitness for duty physical, drug screen, and background investigation. A 12-month probationary period is required.
