The Tee Pee Drive-In was first built and ran in 1950 and ran for 40 years before it shut down. Twenty years later, the Kante Group has revitalized the Tee Pee Drive-In to be an exceptional tourist spot on Route 66. Complete with over 250 parking spots, concessions, alcohol, a playground, and authentic Spartan trailers renovated into Airbnb’s.
Job Title: Teepee Drive-In Manager
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Job Overview: We are seeking a creative, highly organized manager to help us execute unforgettable events that generate brand awareness, build business relationships, and boost employee morale. You will be responsible for conceptualizing ideas for the events, creating and enforcing budgets, liaising with suppliers, communicating with clients, and ultimately ensuring that each event is flawlessly executed.
In addition, you will be responsible for hosting events, including movies at the Teepee Drive-In in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Key Responsibilities:
· Brainstorm and implement event concepts and themes.
· Oversee the operation of alcohol and food concepts.
· Organize suppliers, caterers, staff, and entertainment.
· Coordinate all logistical elements of the event.
· Manage set-up, tear-down, and clean-up operations.
· Ensure that the property in its entirety is clean at the beginning and end of each shift.
· Be aware of Airbnb rentals and assist in check-in as needed.
· Develop post-event reports on the effectiveness of each event.
· Interface with movie rental companies to schedule movies.
· Make sure the projector is always ready and understand all the needs of the projector.
· Interface with Kante Group Services: Food & Alcohol, Human Resources, Marketing, Facilities, Property Management, and Opertion Systems.
· Ensure all staff are properly trained on responsibilities and job duties.
· Prepare weekly schedules for staff members.
· Conduct employee performance reviews.
· Manage staffing levels to meet business needs while controlling labor costs.
· Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
· Analyze sales reports and develop strategies to increase revenue.
· Participate in marketing initiatives to promote events and special screenings.
· Develop good relationships with local and city officials to advertise different events for them.
· Work with the marketing team to ensure an excellent Teepee Drive-In social media, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
· Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner.
· Email and phone correspondence with those reaching out to the Teepee Drive-In.
· Make executive decisions, hold meetings, and provide accountability.
· Help with our other businesses during the movie off-season.
Qualifications:
· Degree in Hospitality, Event Planning, Public Relations, Management, or a related field is a plus.
· Experience in project management with a track record of successful events.
· Passion for movies, people and hospitality.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
· Ability to lead a large team and delegate tasks effectively.
· Meticulous attention to detail.
· Expert time management skills.
· Financial savvy.
· Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and late nights.
Working Conditions:
PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL:
This position may require occasional lifting and the carrying of objects up to 50 pounds. Basic computer application skills. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Duties are performed in a drive-in and concessions setting. Regularly required to reach, talk, listen, interpret, and communicate, both verbally and in writing. Frequently required to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Vision is expected to be at a level proficient for reading, viewing monitors, and other hardware components. Vision is also expected to see details involved with cleaning. Works in a professional environment with possible high-stress levels.
This position also requires working outdoors with possible exposure to excessive humidity, heat, and cold air temperatures. You will work around moving objects or vehicles and may be in contact with slippery and uneven walking surfaces.
