Job Summary :
The Director of Engineering will oversee and coordinate all operational aspects of the facility to ensure property maintenance is in compliance with exceptional guest experiences and efficient business operations are in place. This role is responsible for supporting the operational plans and procedures to ensure the highest standards of property upkeep, safety, efficiency, sustainability, cost effectiveness, and guest satisfaction are met. This will involve collaborating with various departments on a maintenance level to develop and implement best practices, drive new policies, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Accountability :
- Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's policies and objectives.
- Monitor the performance of engineering teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Team Management :
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing direction, motivation, and support to ensure project goals are met.
- Allocate resources effectively, including the assignment of tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines.
- Conduct performance evaluations, identify skills gaps, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the engineering team.
- Team Building :
- Build a cohesive and high-performing engineering team through effective recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
