EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree; administrative support experience. Willing to seek out and attend additional continuing education, seminars, classes or other job related education requirements or opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations; responds promptly to customer needs; resolve questions, complaints and concerns immediately; and meets commitments
Specific accounting and administrative functions in this role include:
- Work with all departments to gain knowledge of companywide operations
- General Ledger responsibilities such as monthly journal entries
- Assisting with account reconciliation
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly statements
- Accurate data entry and administrative reporting
- Electronically filling AR and AP documents
- Greet customers & answer phones
AR supporting functions could include but not limited to:
- Daily deposits
- Paid on accounts
- Assist customers with online portal
- Filing ACH authorizations
- Assist with bank and AR reconciliation
- Assist with the preparation of monthly AR statements
AP supporting functions could include but not limited to:
- Statements
- Post invoices for freight, expense, & purchasing

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret accounting information and reports. Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to deal with problems with several concrete variables in standard situations. Must be able to think quickly and perform a mental assessment of workplace hazards, take appropriate precautions, and choose appropriate PPE as dictated by need, regulation, and labeling.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, this position requires proficient, computer operation skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software and the ability to learn other administrative software programs including Adobe Acrobat.
