We're seeking Seasonal Elevator Operators who will play a key role in providing excellent customer service by accurately operating the scale and assisting with daily operational and maintenance tasks. This short-term position typically lasts a few weeks and supports peak seasonal demands. The role requires strong communication and teamwork to ensure smooth workflow and collaboration across the branch. Adherence to all safety policies and procedures is essential to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Greet customers in a courteous, positive manner and assist with inquiries, complaints, or concerns in a prompt and professional way.
- Load and unload grain trucks, inspect grain for moisture, insects, and foreign material.
- Operate equipment to move grain into storage or loadout, including conveyors, trippers, and flow pipes.
- Monitor grain temperatures using thermometers and record readings.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on elevator equipment.
- Fill anhydrous ammonia tanks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized facility that meets safety and operational standards.
- Work a flexible schedule during harvest season, including variable days, shifts, and potential overtime.
- Accurately complete required paperwork and maintain clear verbal/written communication with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures; maintain a professional appearance and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team and location goals.
The role involves frequent physical activity, including lifting, climbing ladders and equipment, and working in varied environments, requiring full adherence to safety protocols.
