The Farm Store Shop Technician is responsible for vehicle maintenance including tire repair and installation. Additional responsibilities include providing maximum service to customers; promoting company and branch location employee cohesiveness through effective communication, teamwork, shared services; and by following safety policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Serves customers by promptly responding to all requests for tire repairs and vehicle maintenance in a prompt and professional manner; and having knowledge of products and services the Cooperative provides
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of agronomy and automotive equipment including tire installation/maintenance and safe maintenance practices and procedures
- Possesses knowledge of different vehicles/farm equipment including various tire grades and quality to perform repair and maintenance work; and sells tires
- Must possess mechanical skills and the ability to work in confined places
- Loads and unloads grain and Farm Store products/equipment as needed
- Prepares sales tickets
- Responsible for maintaining a neat and clean facility; and reporting any issues to the supervisor
- Completes all paperwork accurately, timely and in accordance with requirements
- Learns, understands and complies with all safety and government regulations
- Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations; responding promptly to customer needs, resolving questions, complaints and concerns immediately and meeting commitments
- Knowledge of department operations and assists all departments to accomplish company goals
- Attends training opportunities to improve job skills
- Attends safety and training meetings
- Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management
- Maintains and promotes safety awareness and follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements
- Must comply with all state and federal laws, codes and regulations
- Presents a clean and professional appearance
- Responsible for prompt and regular attendance
- Employee is required to perform all other duties as assigned
