What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Set Up Lead - 2nd shift position at Kapco, Inc.?

- Complete first piece inspections and make adjustments to bring the parts and process in compliance with prints using the proper calibrated measuring devices.
- Reads and interprets blueprints
- Verify production rates and communicate with fabrication supervisor if rates need adjusting.
- Set tools, pick up zero points and run through new and repeat programs.
- Programs the CNC machine as needed.
- Advises management if there are any issues that should be addressed with regards to company policy or procedures on assigned shifts.
- Assists with production as needed.
- Initiates action to prevent non-conformances, including shutting equipment down.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience running CNC machines
- A good understanding of quality requirements and inspection
- Proficient in CNC Set up, Offsets, and Tool changes
- Experience working within a leadership or training position
