The Wellness Coordinator position works to provide Kapnick clients with health and wellness services, to represent our agency in a manner consistent with our core values, and to make Kapnick the best in our business.
The Wellness Coordinator's essential functions include:
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement customized corporate wellness programs such as on-site lunch & learn presentations, challenge programs, on-site fitness classes, blood pressure checks, etc.
- Conduct educational training and workshops on health-related topics
- Assist with the planning and tracking of annual wellness program for assigned clients
- Coordinate and distribute communication materials to clients for screening and events
- Documents and reports all programming activity
- Keep the Wellness calendar up-to-date
- Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth
- Attend departmental meetings
- Capitalizes on current events and workforce trends to promote Kapnick Wellness services and areas of expertise to current and prospective clients
- Track and resolve client issues and involve appropriate team members and management when warranted
- Keep contact information up-to-date on each account, including key decision makers with the organization, changes to the organization's work environment and/or strategic objectives, presence of competition
- Provide Health Coaching for our clients either on-site, over the phone or via email
- Coordinate, schedule and staff screening events
- Generate monthly, quarterly and annual reports for clients
Other
- Offer innovation and process improvements where possible to help with firm-wide efficiencies
- Attend and participate in department meetings and training sessions as required
- Promote the firm and insurance industry in the community
- Maintain files accurately and consistently using EPIC
- Review discrepancies after policy checking
- Manage voicemail, incoming mailboxes, outlook, and activities per agency service standards
- Verify and maintain information in our agency management system and electronic files, accurately, promptly, and consistently, following agency service standards and procedures
- Act as back-up and support for other Account Executives and Account Managers as needed
- Perform your job in such a manner that other employees will consider it a pleasure and privilege to work with you
- Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of the job
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
To be considered for the Wellness Coordinator position, you should have:
- Bachelor's (four year degree or technical school): Required; field of study, health-related field: Preferred
- 6 months of experience in Worksite Wellness
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Publisher)
- Health Coaching Certification: Required
- Other Wellness certifications preferred such as Personal Trainer, Nutrition Consultant, etc.
- Ability to travel to client worksites in Michigan and occasional travel outside of Michigan
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
